Modern rolling and processing lines demand more than simple setpoint tracking—they require intelligent, adaptive orchestration of complex sequences across multiple units and equipment groups. Metals-Tech’s proprietary MtPAC (APC) is a high-level sequencing and supervisory control system designed to execute production programs with flawless precision, optimal efficiency, and minimal operator intervention.
MtPAC serves as the intelligent conductor of the line, translating a production order (e.g., coil ID, grade, target thickness) into a fully detailed, step-by-step operational sequence. It dynamically calculates and downloads all necessary setpoints—from speeds and tensions to furnace temperatures and cooling patterns—and then supervises the entire execution process, managing coordinated start-ups, transitions, product changeovers, and controlled stops. It transforms the production line from a collection of manually coordinated machines into a single, autonomous production unit, executing complex programs with the reliability of automated logic and the foresight of process expertise.
